This presentation describes benefits and challenges to a transit asset management plan, and how they may be faced at the community or rural level.

This plan defines two sets of goals, project goals and process goals, which combine to form the framework for Kentucky's transportation investment decisions through 2035. The plan provides descriptions of the state's demographic trends, current transportation system, future vision, and finally the application performance-based planning to support the framework.

This guide to mitigating risk from climate change across the US highway system contains strategies to deal with the necessary changes infrastructure will need to combat climate change. Dealing with climate change through 2050 and sea level rise through 2100, the guide gives recommendations for all types of assets, including bridges, culverts, pavement, slopes, stormwater infrastructure, and walls. There is also a software tool that provides information based on region, tables with the same information as the software tool, and two spreadsheets of cost-benefit analyses of various adoption strategies.

The objectives of this project were to (a) review and assess states’ current practices for quantifying serious injuries from motor vehicle crashes, (b) describe issues to be addressed in adapting CODES or other available databases to provide a basis for comparative analysis of DOT performance regarding serious crash injuries and safety management, and (c) describe feasible options for addressing these issues and assess their relative merits. Research is complete, and the final report is available for download on the TRB website.
