International Transit Studies - Focus on European Observations and Definitions of SGR (State of Good Repair)

Overview of Innovative financing tools; Case studies of innovative funding sources & financing approaches (Washington, DC, New York, Chicago, Colorado). Long-term PPP concessions can help ensure assets stay in SGR–But Value for Money (VfM) analysis needed to assess whether PPP is best option.

Funding & finance take-aways include: Funding for SGR is a universal challenge; Varied funding sources and structures; Varying roles for national government; Mixed results from privatization.
